Here are some quick tips to help speed up a Windows XP system. There are numerous ways to speed up a Windows XP system, I’ll start with the basic examples and then create a more detailed list in the future.
– Remove programs you are no longer using
– Perform a disk cleanup
– Perform a defrag

Removing programs you no longer use.
To do this
. Click Start
. Select run
. Type appwiz.cpl in to the box and press enter
. Wait for the list to be populated
. Select a program you rarely use and remove it
Perform a disk cleanup
To do this
. Click Start
. Select run
. Type cleanmgr in to the box and press enter
. Follow the on screen instructions.
. Select run
